Bollywood Bliss – Dance, Art & Wellbeing Festival

Bollywood Bliss is created with a single purpose: to bring communities together and nurture mental health and well-being through culture, creativity and connection. At a time when many people feel isolated, the festival offers gentle, welcoming spaces where everyone—women, men, young people, families and older generations—can gather without fear or pressure. It is a safe, culturally sensitive space designed to reduce social isolation, build confidence and create meaningful moments of belonging. Through dance, art, music, chai, games, conversation and shared experiences, Bollywood Bliss celebrates diversity while strengthening what ties us together. The programme makes it possible for people from every background to meet, breathe, move, create and heal in community—right here in our neighbourhoods.

The Programme

Creative & Cultural Workshops

Hands-on sessions in mehndi, calligraphy, rangoli art, tie-dye, wreath-making, divas, drawing and painting. Friendly drop-in workshops where anyone can learn, create and play.

Dance, Music & Performance

Bollywood dance workshops, and pop-up performances bringing the magic of South Asian arts to local venues across the region.

Wellbeing & Mindfulness

Gentle fitness, yoga, meditation and sound baths — calm spaces to unwind, support mental health and nurture everyday wellbeing.

Chai, Games & Conversation

Inspired by our Bollywood Chai Cafés: chai, chats, carrom, ludo and intergenerational games that bring people together across age, background and culture.

Family & Intergenerational Events

Activities for children, parents, grandparents and carers to enjoy together — building bonds, confidence and shared memories.

Why Bollywood Bliss Matters

Community-Led & Inclusive

Bollywood Bliss isn’t just a festival — it’s a wellbeing movement for our town.
It creates culturally safe spaces, addresses isolation, and brings joy, colour and connection into everyday life. Shaped by local voices, community ambassadors and grassroots groups to reach people who may otherwise be left out. Every event is designed with accessibility, belonging and cultural confidence at its heart.

Our impact:

  • Builds confidence and belonging for people of all ages
  • Gives women, families and older people safe places to meet and express themselves
  • Encourages movement and mindfulness.
  • Celebrates diversity while strengthening community unit
  • Revives neighbourhood spirit by making culture local and accessible

A simple chai. A shared dance. A moment of art.
