It’s impossible to think of a more enticing workshop than the one Chris Thomasson hosted for the students of Creative Opportunity. Her passion and skills swept
through our virtual classroom, leaving us all transfixed with the ease in which she created an amazing variety of chocolate treats.
Chris started her journey by setting up Rivington Chocolates with others in 2014, in Bolton. Since then, they have grown their range of chocolate products, always inventing new varieties and ensuring all tastes were catered for. Watching Chris demonstrate how easy it was to make chocolates was the true magic of the class. Her step-by-step guide was loved by the students, who really appreciated the care with which Chris broke down each careful part of the preparation. The problem for everyone was a compelling need to want to try it for themselves immediately. It seems that a craving for making chocolate is just as strong as for eating it!
Winners of a Great Taste Award for Rivington Blackcurrant and Star Anise Bon Bon, Chris herself is a finalist in the She Inspires Awards in 2020. She certainly wins the prize for putting on a fantastic workshop for some very grateful students!
